Legal
Privacy policy
What information this site collects, why, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and how to have it removed.
The short version
This page is a working draft awaiting legal review and is withheld from search until that review is complete.
We collect what you send us and a limited amount of information about how this site is used. We use it to reply to you and to understand which pages are useful. We do not sell it. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing hello@skaylemarketing.com.
What we collect
Two categories, and nothing else at present.
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company, website, and whatever you write in a form or email. The phone number is required on the enquiry form because the thing being arranged is a phone call.
- Information about site usage: pages viewed, referring source, approximate region, device and browser type, and campaign parameters where you arrived from a link that carried them.
- We do not collect special category data, we do not ask for payment details on this site, and we do not run advertising trackers without consent where consent is required.
How we use it and who sees it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work. That is the only thing we use enquiry details for unless you separately tick the box asking for our research emails.
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve them.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf — hosting, email and analytics — under contract and only for these purposes.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Retention and your rights
- Enquiries are kept while there is a realistic prospect of working together, and deleted once there is not. You can ask us to delete yours at any point before that, and we will.
- If you opted in to research emails, that consent is stored with the date and the exact wording you agreed to, and every email carries an unsubscribe link. Withdrawing it does not affect anything else.
- Client records are kept for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards only as long as legal and tax obligations require.
- You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
- Send any of those requests to hello@skaylemarketing.com and we will respond within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
